THE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF LOS ANGELES 40th ANNIVERSARY FUNDRAISING GALA
The 2018-2019 school year is LILA’s 40th anniversary year. Throughout the year LILA will be hosting several community events to celebrate this special milestone. Our biggest event will be a school-wide 40th Anniversary Fundraising Gala, the School’s first gala in 10 years!
The gala’s purpose is to celebrate our school’s 40-year history, while simultaneously planning for the future. Funds raised from the gala will be allocated to The Endowment Fund for LILA.
An endowment fund is an investment fund that holds its princpal in perpetuity and pays out a portion of its earnings each year to support, for example, campus operations and programs. Endowment investments have dual goals: to grow the principal and to generate income. With our gala, we are seeding the initial principal of the Endowment Fund for LILA with proceeds and donations from the event. As LILA's endowment grows with future donations, it will become a significant source of annual income for LILA. We are taking the first steps!
The gala will be held the evening of Saturday, April 6, 2019.
The gala will be held at the beautiful Vibiana in the historic core of downtown Los Angeles.
Originally the City’s first Archdiocese Catholic cathedral, Vibiana has been beautifully transformed into a stunning full service event facility.
Vibiana is owned and operated by Chef Neal Fraser and his business partner/wife Amy Knoll Fraser. This couple also own and operate critically acclaimed Redbird; and fast-casual Fritzi Coop at the Arts District Brewing Company and in The Original Farmers Market at The Grove. They also owned Grace and BLD, before they closed.

A Gala Committee has been appointed with representatives from each campus. The committee is tasked with pulling together an event to remember and ensuring all of the messaging reaches you.
We are currently looking for sponsors, either personal or corporate. We have created a sponsorship program with opportunities ranging from $500 to $20,000. Please refer to the sponsors page for more details.
